What is Modular Building Construction?
Modular construction is a way of manufacturing 90% of the building off-site in manageable sections that can then be transported to site.
How are modular buildings delivered?

Modular buildings are delivered on the back of a series of lorries and lifted into position using a crane or hiab. Sometimes access to the site can be challenging and may require temporary trackway/ road protection or widening of the access route to the site. KES Group will undertake a full site survey prior to delivery.

How does the quality of modular buildings compare to traditional builds?

KES modular buildings are built under strict factory conditions with quality checks undertaken at various points during the sub-assembly and assembly processes, ensuring the work is to a high standard. All our buildings are then re-audited for quality before handover to the customer.

In addition to all our buildings being fully compliant with building regulations KES Group are fully compliant with ISO:9001, ISO:14001 and ISO:45001 quality accreditations and are continuously looking to improve the services we offer.

How economical are the buildings to run?
As standard we use LED lighting throughout our buildings as well as ‘AA’ rated air source heat pumps for heating. Our insulation ‘U’ values are very high and, even without the introduction of some additional green technologies, our buildings can achieve a low A/high B EPC (Energy Performance Certificate). When fitted with just some of these green technologies, such as PV roof panels, we can achieve an A+ rated building.
How quickly can I have my building?
Subject to the size of the building we can design and deliver in a matter of weeks subject to planning. Early engagement is key to having your project designed and delivered quickly.
How long will the building last?

According to our T&Cs, the buildings can have a lifespan of up to 50 years or more given the correct care and maintenance takes place.
