Due to Company expansion, we are recruiting for a Design Technician within our Energi Division. The successful candidate will work closely with the Engineering team and be responsible for creating mechanical and electrical design CAD drawings and documentation for LV Switchgear. Job duties include:
- Translate Estimated concepts into accurate technical drawings.
- Aiding in the production of standard Design drawings.
- Ensuring compliance with standards.
- Managing version control and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Managing Design Information packs issued to production.
Skills and Experience
- A HND / HNC or equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or Design field,
Or Apprenticeship or formal training in design or drafting.
- Proven experience in electrical switchgear engineering, drafting or design.
- Ability to interpret and produce Electrical Schematics, Mechanical Layouts,
Wiring diagrams and panel assembly drawings
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
- Work to exceptionally high standards.
- Working as part of a team.
- AutoCAD, SEE, or EPLAN experience would be advantageous.
