The Senior BIM Co-ordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and management of BIM information across KES Group’s modular mechanical plantroom projects. The role will work closely with Mechanical Engineers, Design Engineers, Project Managers, manufacturing teams and external project stakeholders to ensure coordinated, accurate and buildable BIM models and information are produced in line with project requirements. The role will also support the continued development of KES Group’s BIM capability and ensure projects are designed with offsite manufacture, prefabrication, transportation and site installation in mind.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate BIM models across mechanical, structural, electrical and architectural disciplines.
- Manage and coordinate Revit models and associated project information.
- Undertake regular clash detection and coordination reviews and lead the resolution of coordination issues.
- Lead BIM coordination meetings with internal and external project teams.
- Ensure models are developed to the required Level of Detail / Level of Information.
- Produce and review coordinated drawings, layouts, sections and fabrication information.
- Work closely with Mechanical Engineers to ensure designs are suitable for manufacture and assembly.
- Develop models with consideration for modularisation, transportation, lifting, installation and maintenance requirements.
- Coordinate plantroom equipment, pipework, valves, supports, access requirements and associated services.
- Assist with the development of fabrication and manufacturing models.
- Manage model revisions and ensure information is issued correctly.
- Review subcontractor and supplier models and incorporate relevant information into project models.
- Support the development and implementation of BIM standards, procedures and workflows within KES Group.
- Assist with BIM execution plans, project information requirements and model production schedules.
- Support the Design and Project Management teams with BIM-related technical issues.

Required Experience
- Significant experience working in a BIM coordination role.
- Strong experience using Autodesk Revit.
- Experience working on mechanical building services projects.
- Experience with large-scale commercial, industrial or data-centre projects is highly desirable.
- Experience coordinating complex mechanical services and pipework systems.
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary design environment.
- Understanding of offsite manufacturing and modular construction is advantageous.
Technical Skills / Knowledge
- Autodesk Revit.
- Navisworks Manage.
- AutoCAD.
- BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud or equivalent CDE platforms.
- Strong understanding of BIM coordination processes.
- Understanding of mechanical services and building services engineering.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and project documentation.
Qualifications
- Relevant BIM, Engineering, Building Services or Construction qualification desirable.
- Relevant BIM certification or professional training advantageous.
