We’ve all grown tired of those oft-repeated phrases throughout 2020: ‘the new normal’, ‘stay safe’, ‘stay at home’. KES Group is joining customers and followers in looking forward to when the challenges of Covid-19 have passed – and there’s reason to be hopeful with the rollout of a COVID vaccination programme.
Modular construction has been poised to play a major role in the roll-out of a vaccine, and we’ve already been lending our expertise to this historic effort. Mass testing will play a major role throughout each step of the vaccination process, and we were proud to contribute with a successful project on behalf of Loop Studios NI, an independent filming company.
SMARTBUILD Covid Testing Booth
Just look at some photographs of the project:
Here at KES Group, we believe that Covid-19 testing shouldn’t be a stressful or daunting experience. With this project on behalf of Loop Studios, we constructed a modular testing centre with a modern facade and high glass coverage to maximise natural sunlight.
We also believe in facilitating the highest levels of hygienic security in all SMARTBUILD projects. We created a protected and contact-free environment by installing wall-mounted soap dispensers and identification scanners.
Covid-19 is known to spread via water droplets spread by coughs and sneezes. With this in mind, contained interior spaces must be sufficiently ventilated to circulate clean air. We installed multiple LG air filters and conditioning units across key locations in this Covid testing SMARTBUILD. This joins a high-tech arsenal including a climate control panel; body thermometer, alarm system, motion hand sanitizer dispenser and embellish lighting.
Facilitating Safe Vaccines with Modular Construction
Modular construction won’t only play a role in testing patients for Covid-19. Indeed, this forward-thinking construction method will also play a role in the safe rollout of any vaccination programme. Why is this the case? Let KES Group explain:
- Safer Building: All SMARTBUILDs are 95% constructed at our factory facilities in Strabane, Co. Tyrone. Built within a strictly distanced and hygienic factory setting, public health leaders can proceed with confidence that their modular vaccination facility has been built in a contamination-mitigated construction environment.
- Hygienic Infrastructure: SMARTBUILDS are fully adaptable and are suitable for a range of temporary and permanent fittings. This includes essential hygienic infrastructure such as hand wash stations and soap dispensers, as well as welfare monitoring solutions like body temperature scanners.
- Environmental Conditioning: Covid vaccination environments require strong levels of air flow to mitigate the increased risk of viral spread. From adjustable windows to industry-grade air conditioning fans, SMARTBUILDs keep air as clean as it can be within an interior environment.
