Beech Hill College – New Contract Award

NEW CONTRACT AWARD: Beech Hill College, County Monaghan.

KES Modular construction prefabricated school provider

Our tendering team here at KES Group have been inundated with multiple educational opportunities, for the supply of prefabricated schools, classrooms, sports halls and much more. With schools now under pressure as the summer months fly in, they are now under strict deadlines to get a solution for the space shortages on their campus. With our advanced construction methods here at KES Group, we are able to meet shorter time frames, meet stricter budgets and accommodate a complete project managed service.

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded main contractor for the design, build and delivery of a prefabricated school building for Beech Hill College, based in Monaghan. This contract award includes a fully project managed scheme, including a ground works package which will include positioning and connection of services. Removal after a three-year rental period is also included within the contract.

This specialist prefabricated school building will be fully equipped with:

  • 2x Classrooms
  • 1 SEN (special education needs) classroom
  • 2 Sets of Toilet blocks, which will include both accessible toilets and shower rooms
  • 2x Lobby areas
  • Store room

As standard, with every contract awarded, we provide a full detailed programme. This programme  will include a breakdown of each individual stage of the projects journey. Starting with design and finishing with final handover. With the educational sector, deadlines are especially important, as the premises needs to be operational for the return of the school children come their September start. Therefore, with this project in particular, we have allowed an 8 week factory assembly period, and a total of 2 and a half weeks onsite. The onsite works associated with this modular development will include the site preparation. The site preparation will include the excavation of grounds and the installation of foundations and services.

The construction timetable for Beech Hills newest prefabricated school development will consist of the following:

  • Design Start – 2nd June 2021
  • Fabrication – 1st July 2021
  • Assembly – 20th July 2021
  • Fit out, both externally and internally – 29th July 2021
  • Factory Completion – 25th August 2021
  • Site Works Start – 12th August 2021
  • Contract completion – 31st August 2021
