Due to Company expansion, we are recruiting for a Stores Operative. The successful candidate will work closely with the Procurement and Production teams and will be responsible for storing, issuing and controlling the materials required for production. Job duties include:
- Receiving and inspecting incoming goods and materials, matching delivery notes to purchase orders, and reporting discrepancies to procurement or quality.
- Storing items in designated locations, labelling and organising inventory, maintaining accurate records, and performing regular cycle counts and stocktakes.
- Issuing materials to production, recording material movement in inventory system, replenishing consumable stock etc.
- Keeping stores tidy and ensure compliance with PPE and manual handling protocols.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in an engineering or stores environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems
- Work to exceptionally high standards.
- Working as part of a team.
- Valid forklift licence would be advantageous.
